🐉 as draconic off-shoots x'arna, unlike true dragons, are half-breeds: even in human form they still carry remnants of draconic and demonic forms, from scales and tails to horns or claws. they also maintain some remnants of rather dark powers, including but not limited to: breath gifts, dark forms, unbreakable bodies, vast psionics, war genius and victory transcendence which allows them to constantly evolve, the closer to a physical death they push themselves to be.
🐉 as embodiments of war & combat, the x'arna are not typically associated with love or affection. their highest and most devoted deity, however, is a triumvirate of beauty and love known as aellith'er. without all three parts of aellith'er in existence together, the x'arna cannot reproduce with any but parthenogenetic species like the a'suri — they are lustful and unabashedly attracted to all species and bodies, craving sex as much as they do violence, but they cannot get pregnant or get others pregnant. when the triumvirate are in existence together, the x'arna can carry child, but prefer to become oviparous and allow their eggs to be hatched by safer, less warring species.
🐉 uniquely: x'arna have four-to-eight arms (depending on their strength levels and age), sexual expertise that includes being (at least) diphallic (with rather 'ornate' genetalia: they can glow, change shape, and function independent of one another for group sex or easier dual penetration) with dual cloaca so they may create scent markers on partners, as well as become more enticing and pleasant to others. they have three stomachs and do not create physical waste from their systems in the least, though they can sweat as a matter of pheremone creation. they smell and taste pleasant in pleasure, but when enraged or being violent they smell uniquely of sulfur, until they bleed — which itself is acidic and poisonous.
🐉 x'arna also have (at least) two 21 inch long tongues that are as prehensile as a'suri's tails, with immensly long stinger tails. their horns are equal parts lures, terrors and sensory, allowing them to use their manifestation to create and interact with their enviornment at will. their scales are nearly unbreakable and grow more abundant in any form when a x'arna kills in fierce enough combat; when seeming like a non-armored species, however, their scales adapt to look like bodily markings: tattoos, or freckles, or body paint, depending on the culture that surrounds the form they are taking on.
🐉 while they believe themselves to be descendent of the axiom, the x'arna are actually fallen from a lost species once known as the who were more like dragon-riders that, in death, were able to fuse with their fallen beasts and become the new species whole. it is because of this that they are incapable of having off-spring on their own without the guidance of the soft triple-god they worship. it is thanks to this hidden truth that their nature exists: half-dragons who can house the original dragons in rebirth; mighty, unkillable warriors who have a passion in them that cannot be extinguished; unbreakable, unbearable beasts.
🐉 x'arna children often take on the name of a weapon as part of their given name, some kind of intentional, sex-based middle name, and a surname that calls back to their father in some way. they also then take on an earth name which on tzik'va is known as a blue name which really only means it is something they heard on Earth that sounded nice and so, they use it; they do not have any rules or constitution about choosing these names, because the x'arna dialect of tir'zu is actually more visceral: scratches around the spoke, read counter-clockwise from the middle-left, and when spoken aloud it sounds like fire crackling through dry wood.
🐉 x'arna are weapons masters who can take up mastery over any new weapon in a matter of days of practice, becoming absolute experts. they are also living forges thanks to the nature of their infernal hearts which burn bright enough to warm their bodies, and allow them to exist without need for oxygen or temperature mindfulness; like a'suri, they can adapt to any environemnt, whether swallowed into a blackhole or drowned into the center of an endless sea, because their heart burns rather than pumps. these infernal hearts let them actually forge weaponry that is mystical in nature, which means they can create even impossible weaponry to kill the unkillable.
🐉 the fire of their passion, their rage, and their emotions as a whole is the only true downfall of a x'arna and a strong one: to drive them so far into their needs and hungers and desires that their heart literally burns out of their chest is possible, and is what has driven their species to near extinction in spite of being able to procreate with a'suri. it is only now, with the most powerful of a'suri welcoming them into their numbers, that they have rarely found the chance to have off-spring again after millenia without, and even then, it is extremely limited, as most a'suri are too preoccupied to want to bother nurturing a x'arna child and keep it from succumbing to its own fires, or worse: the pitch-black itself, as the dragon gods once did.
🐉 x'arna are a rather large species, with their shortest full-grown members being a full 18 feet tall. as they rarely ever leave the black shore, they have never truly adapted to trying to find a more humanoid size, and so would not fare well visiting earth on their own accord.
